Do you like your clients?

I do.

I don’t have a single client that I don’t like and enjoy spending time with. Not one.

But it’s no accident.

It’s the result of choosing the right clients (yes, you get to choose!), walking away from the wrong ones (ditto), and managing the relationships and work in an ongoing and deliberate way.

And it’s not just good for me – it’s good for my clients, too. When you connect and work well together, everyone benefits.

Not only are there fewer miscommunications and crossed signals, the work is easier, the results are better, and everyone involved is happier.

But I didn’t start out that way.

I made a lot of mistakes in my first few years as a solo.

I was good at “the work” but, as someone who at that point had zero experience as a non-employee, I had no idea how to deal with things like work agreements, payments and deposits, project scope, or difficult situations.

And I knew nothing about how to tell the difference – before work began – between a great client and a problem client.  It never even occurred to me to think of it that way. I figured a “great client” was anyone who was willing to pay my fee.

How about you? Do you …

… have trouble keeping your client projects moving forward?
… get treated by your clients as a contractor/vendor rather than a partner?
… have difficulty getting paid regularly and on time?
… go weeks without hearing anything and are then asked to “jump on something urgent”?
… not really like the people who hire you?

It doesn’t have to be that way – it shouldn’t be that way.

Getting over these hurdles and reestablishing yourself with engaged, thoughtful clients who treat you as a respected partner is what this 60-minute, live webinar is all about.

In this small (25 person max), interactive class, I’ll share everything I’ve learned in my 19+ years as a solo professional about selecting and working with amazing clients.

Here’s what we’ll cover:

  • How and why to develop a “perfect client” profile
  • How to get paid in full and on time
  • How and why to establish your personal “Rules of Engagement”
  • How to spot – and avoid – “problem” clients before signing on
  • How to keep projects in scope and avoid the dreaded “mission creep”
  • How to reawaken “dormant prospects” who inexplicably go silent
  • How to keep busy clients on track throughout the course of a project
  • How and why to receive a significant deposit before work begins
  • What to do about older, long time clients who are paying lower fees.
  • How to manage “urgent” client requests
  • How to generate additional work from past clients
  • And more

You will receive lots of practical, tested information in this webinar, all focused on helping you select, manage and thrive alongside wonderful, amazing clients (as well as improving the way you work with the ones you’ve already got).

The Art of Finding Amazing Clients webinar is $125.00 ($99.00 if you register by September 30th).  Please join me on Thursday, October 3rd at 2 pm Eastern and start making big, positive changes in the way you work with clients.
